Trinity by Seattle Green Bud

Welcome back to toasted n’ posted where we keep it provocative! We were blessed enough to lock down an eighth of this limited run by Seattle Green Bud. This is Trinity, a sativa-dominant hybrid. This production carries 21.88% THCA and just 0.09% CBDA. I must’ve been high because I could’ve sworn I left the lineage of Trinity available on a page of seed finder, alas, it has disappeared. Furthermore, it seems like other online cannabis resources share the same deprivation of data. Whatever I’d remembered is now reduced to what is now available. I could’ve sworn that it was something like Jack the Ripper x Trainwreck x Chernobyl, but the memory is foggy. The only information about the genetics is that it is a tri-brid of California strains; bred in Kansas, it was shared with friends in Oregon who began to spread the seed to the extent that it is available now in Washington.

Trinity proves to be a powerful potion. Each step towards unfastening the cap further drove a pungent lance of bountiful fruit deep into my skull. On first analysis of the fruity direction, I would describe it as a skunked strawberry. The resonance of which is profoundly sweet and sour, with a flexible tangy quality. A gassy storm builds on the back of the fermenting berry. Diving below the storm, I find an underside to the aroma that is extremely revitalizing and fresh. I feel as if I’d burrowed my nose into a waterfall downstream from a cranberry bog. The characterless fluidity of this ‘fresh’ quality acts as a cooperative contrast, allowing the skunky fruit to present itself uncontested. If anything, the rushing freshness pumps vigor into the other qualities. Beneath the revelry, I find a rich, sour, dirt that is a delectable spike when combined with the alluring skunk.

I have to see if I can get this flower to demonstrate its power further. I tear through the largest bud; the skunkiness spikes wildly, emphasizing a benign moistness. I feel as if I am sitting plum in the trunk of a decaying candied tree stump. This actually smells quite similar to a masterful Strawberry Cough.

‘Rare’ may continue to define this strain, I can’t recall finding such large, hairy buds in some time. A flower akin to Cousin IT; rich, coarse, tarnished bronze hairs amass in wild clumps across the face of Trinity. Underneath the rich tanned canopy, are plains of haunting green. The transition between the colors is actually quite eerie, I spot somber moss and pale lime simultaneously. I feel as if I’m being subjected to an optical illusion! It becomes impossible to distinguish between the colors, due to the abundance of the milky white trichomes. Each mature resin gland appears to be soaked in Elmer’s Glue. The white is so defiant it makes it impossible to focus on a transition as subtle as the one I’m seeking on the petals. I suppose I may leave Trinity with that mystery.

When I bring the trichomes to light, they become charged with a rich buttery aura. The hordes of trichomes alight, highlighting every pocket and fringe of the flower. A volume so intense, it seems that these buds could’ve been rolled around in saw dust. This strain grows into some plump, trophy buds. For a sativa-dominant hybrid; there is a considerable bulk to the calyx. Trinity is leafy, scraggly, and tender…yet also firm, unflinching, and centralized. The buds are thick, full of foliage, but with enough pressure it will forfeit some ground. I wish all sativas were as strong-willed as Trinity. I maintain that sentiment as I struggle to free my fingers from the adhesive resin. Plant particles and hairs go flying, but I manage to free myself from the psychoactive muck. Even now, I can manage to make a sweet, sticky lullaby by grinding my fingertips together.

Leaf to flame, I’m surrounded by a sweet, forest-driven chorus. The trees sing songs of fermenting sugar. Foul wood stirs with a profound green moisture to provide a refreshing skunky resonance. The smoke is thick, laced with a satisfying burn. I feel the sugary slurry magnetize to and chase the burn at the back of my throat. Almost as if it instinctually knew to trickle backward and ease my suffering. Who knew suffering could be so sweet? A tender, dispersed berry hovers over the feisty forest like an omniscient mist. Asserting just a slice of itself into every powerful cloud of sunken wood. An invisible red pepper stirs at the base of the flavor as the bowl chars. This pepper adds a sharp, crisp edge to the low incendiary growl at the back of my throat. The more I think about it, the more this smoke shares commonalities with the crisp, refreshing, bite of a red pepper. Anywhere between sodden skunky wood and lively red peppers, you will discover a plethora of notes to your liking within Trinity.

This is one of the most masterfully assembled highs I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing this year! Holy moly, Trinity sets in almost instantly. I first felt a powerful compounding body high build. It was as if pillow after pillow was being heaved onto my chest until I was entombed in the formidable fortress of fluff. Prepared to lay dormant as I rock in the light-hearted euphoria, Trinity sends a message of inspiration. Not just empty words either, energy to accompany it. Before I knew it, I couldn’t sit down. I had to dance. So I continued to delve into the forbidden fruits of Trinity as I jammed to a few impromptu ‘hood bangers.’ Refreshed, renewed, and revitalized, I am ready to take on the world. My mind is spurring, cradled in the caring arms of undefeated optimism; encouraging me to dream sweetly of tomorrows opportunities. I feel like this high encourages you to shed yourself of all cares and plights of responsibility. But for a moment, you can relax, let loose, and be the fun version of ‘you’ that you’d always wished to command. Keep good times on tap with a jar of Trinity by Seattle Green Bud.

Trinity is so good, I may have to start a cult for it. Wait, there is already a ‘cult’ for a certain trinity…I had to. Anyway, if you don’t believe in God; you probably will meet him after smoking this potent production! From the gentle aroma, peculiar appearance, and powerful high; it is a force to be reckoned with and a strain to be sought out! Unfortunately, with limited releases rediscovering such a gem is accompanied by great uncertainty. That being said, it is nice to know there are still treasures to be discovered in the recreational market that the internet can’t even tell us about! As always, thanks for reading.

Trinity Total Score: 97/100

Stay high and stay blessed,
